A little bit about us! |
Established in 2024
|
Stone Business Consultancy was founded by Broken Hill businessman Dylan J. Stone in 2024 with a clear purpose: to bridge the gap between small business owners and the strategic support they often lack.
After years of working closely with entrepreneurs and witnessing the challenges they face—overwhelm, uncertainty, and limited resources—Dylan saw an opportunity to offer more than just advice. Stone Business Consultancy was created to provide hands-on, practical solutions tailored to the unique needs of small businesses. Built on the belief that every business deserves access to expert guidance, we’ve grown into a trusted partner for startups and sole traders alike—offering clarity, structure, and confidence to help them succeed at every stage of their journey. As you read through our Website, you'll see how we've helped businesses and organisations develop and grow. |
A bit more about Dylan StoneDylan Stone is a highly respected business consultant, entrepreneur, and community leader who hails from Broken Hill, NSW.
With a unique background in small business ownership, legal training, and regional advocacy, Dylan provides strategic support to sole traders, startups, and rural enterprises Australia-wide. In his youth, he chaired his schools' SRC and SEC, and was active in the local Youth Council. Mr Stone also represented Far West NSW twice as the Youth Member for Murray Darling in the YMCA's NSW Youth Parliament program, winning the award of "best opposition speaker" in 2014 for his mental health reform campaign. Turning an eye to business, he became the founder and manager of Stone’s on Argent Café, and A Stone’s Throw Catering (2018-2024)- a local businesses that Dylan started at only 20 years old! At the onset of the COVID Pandemic, Dylan co-founded and chaired the NSW Far West Small Business Association- strengthening representation for regional enterprises at the local level. Through this work, Dylan played a leading role in shaping the future of small business in outback NSW. Through years of experience, Dylan founded the NSW Far West Small Business Network in 2025. This regional initiative helps rural and remote businesses access shared resources, peer mentorship, workshops, and collective advocacy. Mr Stone sponsors the network, so local businesses are able to enjoy the benefit of free membership. Aside from business and advocacy ventures, he has contributed to publications including the Barrier Truth as a Business Affairs Correspondent, helping demystify complex regulations for local business owners, and now hosts monthly business Seminars to discuss the business issues of the day with established and emerging small business owners. In Dylan's spare time, he enjoys 8-ball and dog training, and often travels interstate for obedience and rally-obedience trialling- he just isn't good enough to travel for 8-ball yet! He also loves his garden, and anyone that knows him well tell you he is always offering geranium cuttings to anyone who will listen! |
